Columbus' mate for Carefree
chewing gum."
rIbday, Eagle still dons his
brown monk's robe and con-
tinues to travel around the
country representing the
Xerox corporation. He also
continues to do his standup
comedy, working the large
resorts in the Catskills, and
the condo circuit in Florida
and in New Jersey near his
home in Forrest Hills, N.Y.
And even though the public
may still not know his name,
Eagle is content with his lot
in life.
"I'm at a point in my life
where I realize I'm living my
dream every day. A friend of
mine recently passed away,
and it takes something like
that to make you realize that
as you get a little older you
have to try to just enjoy every
day.
"People who are career
driven until the day they die
are unfortunate. There's got
to be more to your life. You've
just got to take the time to
stop and see it. I know I
have!" ❑

Bonstelle Opens
'On The Razzle'

Tom Stoppard's comedy On
the Razzle opens at the
Bonstelle Theatre April 20,
for a two-weekend run. Perfor-
mances begin at 8 p.m. Friday
and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sun-
day through April 29.
Stoppard adapted On the
Razzle from Johann Nestroy's
19th-century farce Einen Jux
will er sich machen, which
Thornton Wilder also used as
the basis for his play The
Matchmaker, on which, in
turn, the musical Hello, Dol-
ly! was based.
The play is set in Vienna at
the turn of the century, when
high society and fashion were
at their peak. The plot con-
cerns the misadventures of
two shop clerks, who sneak
out on the town without the
knowledge of their boss, who
is off with a new mistress.
There is a charge. For infor-
mation, call the box office,
577-2960.
