Concert Set
At Kingswood

A quartet for flute and
strings will feature Ervin
Monroe, principal flutist with
the Detroit Symphony Or-
chestra, at the American Ar-
tists Series Chamber Players'
concert 7 p.m. April 22 at
Kingswood Auditorium on
the Cranbrook campus, 500
Lone Pine Road, Bloomfield
Hills.
Monroe will join Chamber
Players Linda Snedden
Smith, Hart Hollman and
John Thurman in the quartet
for flute, violin, viola and
cello, written by Ignace
Pleyel.
The program will be the
first annual memorial concert
in honor of the late Peggy
DeSalle of Birmingham, for
her lifetime of dedication to
the arts and music.
The concert will be follow-
ed by an informal reception
with the artists.

School Will
Present 'Joseph'

Birmingham's Berkshire
Middle School will present
the musical Joseph and the
Amazing Technicolor Dream-
coat, starring Seth Hitsky,
8 p.m. April 27 and 28 in the
school auditorium. Forty-six
7th-8th grade students are in
the cast of the play which
deals with the story of Joseph
in Egypt during the time of
the Pharaoh. Berkshire Mid-
dle School is located at 21707
West 14 Mile Road, between
Evergreen and Lahser Roads.
The play is under the direc-
tion of Berkshire music direc-
tor Dan Rose and marks the
first theatrical offering by the
students at Berkshire Middle
School.

Magic Classes
In Oak Park

The Department of Recrea-
tion of the City of Oak Park
has scheduled two more
children's magic classes May
22 and June 25 beginning at
4 p.m.
Bernie Stevens presents his
class so that it is suitable for
youngsters 6-12 years old.
The youth will learn to make
objects appear and vanish,
card tricks, to pass solid ob-
jects through one another and
how to create balloon
animals.
There is a charge. For infor-
