ment of the Jewish Corn-
munity Center of
Metropolitan Detroit will
host a trip at 9:15 a.m. on
April 24.
A docent led art tour will
feature one of Michigan's
largest collections of contem-
porary art in Troy's fabulous
new Standard Bank Building
followed by lunch (on your
own) at Michael's Restaurant
in Southfield.
The bus will depart from
the Maple-Drake building at
9:15 a.m. There is a fee. Ap-
proximate touring time is one
hour. Comfortable walking
shoes are recommended.

automobile club will lecture
on cruises and tours. Movies
will be shown. There is no

Vacation Tour

The Senior Adult Depart-
ment of the Jewish Com-
munity Center will offer a
Catskill Mountain Vacation
package, June 24-29 at the
Raleigh Hotel, with a special
stopover one night at Niagara

The Senior Adult Depart-
ment of the Jewish Corn-
munity Center's Jimmy Pren-
tis Morris building will hold
its weekly Erev Shabbat pro-
gram on April 13 at 12:30
p.m. in Jaffe Hall. Cantor
Max Shimansky will lead the
service.
Other April 13 activities in-
clude: Art Class with Harriet
Gelfond from 9 a.m. to noon
in Room 11. "Love of Learn-
ing," a discussion group led by
Israel Klaymer will meet at
12:30 p.m. in Room 4.
April 18 — The Widowed
Support Group 10:30 a.m. in
Room 3. Stanley Clamage
will lead "Explore the Bible,"
an open study group at 11
a.m. in Room 4. Rabbi Gor-

The Senior Adult Health
Screening provided through
Sinai Hospital will be
available from 1:30 to 3:30
p.m. in Room 10. Dr. Aubrey
Goldman and Shirley
Kramer, RN, will provide
blood pressure checks and
fast blood sugar tests as well
as general consultation. The
Thursday afternoon video
feature, Whales of August,
will be shown at 1:30 p.m. in
the Atrium and will be
repeated Friday at 10 a.m. in
Assembly Hall.

JNF, B'nai Moshe
Honor Singers

At a breakfast at 10 a.m. on
April 22 Sy and Amy Singer
will be honored by B'nai
Moshe and the Jewish Na-
tional Fund. The Singers,
who have dedicated years of
service to the synagogue, will
receive an "Outstanding
Citizens Award."
Singer, an employee of A. J.
Marshall, is in restaurant
design and sells restaurant
equipment; Mrs. Singer
teaches kindergarten and is a
volunteer for Cranbrook.
They have been members of
B'nai Moshe for eleven years.
Singer has been a board
member of B'nai Moshe for
almost ten years, a past
member of the choir, sub-
chairman of the Building
Committee, on the Men's
Club Board and is sole chair-
man of the Breakfast Com-
mittee. Additionally, he is a
member of the Oak Park
Kiwanis, Jewish War
Veterans — Rose Bloch Post
and B'nai B'rith, Morgan-
thau Lodge. Mrs. Singer is a
volunteer in the office of
B'nai Moshe and works on
the Bingo. They are both
members of the Hamishpacha
of the synagogue.

Support Group
Sets Meeting

The next meeting of the
Southfield-Oak Park Support
Group of the Michigan
Parkinson Foundation will be
at 7 p.m. April 18, at McDon-
nell Towers.

speaker.
