Host Events

The Senior Adult Depart-
ment of the Jewish Com-
munity Center Maple-Drake
building will host the follow-
ing programs:
April 12 — Walking Club,
Rosenberg Complex, 9 to 10
a.m. Register with Margo,
661-1000 Ext. 314. There is
no charge. Party bridge will
meet 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. in
Room 239. There is a charge
for non-members. Current
events from a Jewish point of
view, 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the
Allen Lounge with facilitator
Phyllis Young.
There is limited space re-
maining for the following
trips: A docent-led art tour
featuring one of Michigan's
largest collections of contem-
porary art in Troy's new Stan-
dard Federal Bank building
followed by lunch at Michael's
Restaurant (on your own) in
Southfield on April 24. The
bus leaves the Maple-Drake
building at 9:15 p.m.
The Stratford Festival May
16-17, will feature the
musical Guys and Dolls and
Shakespeare's The Merry
Wives of Windsor.

The Senior Adult Depart-
ment of the Jewish Com-
munity Center's Jimmy Pren-
tis Morris building will hold
its Erev Shabbat program
April 6 at 12:30 p.m. in Jaffe
Hall. Cantor Max Shimansky
will lead the services.
Other Friday activities in-

dude: Art class with Harriet
Gelfond, 9 a.m. to noon in
Room 11. "Love of Learning,'
a discussion group led by
Israel Klaymer will meet at
12:30 p.m. in Room 4.
April 8 — Bingo, with prizes
and refreshments will be from
2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Jaffe Hall.
There is a charge.
April 9 — "Fitness for All,"
will offer stretching, toning
and low impact aerobics at 11
a.m. in the gym. The
Mother's Club will not meet.
Rabbi Gorrelick will lecture
at 12:30 in Room 4. Mah
jongg will be played from
12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room
15.
April 10 and April 11 — The
Center will be closed for
Passover.
April 12 — Center Men's
Forum, discussions of world
events, 10:30 a.m. Room 4. A
third seder will be held for
senior adult center members
at noon in Jaffe Hall. Ad-
vance tickets are required.
There is a charge.
