week from 11 a.m. until the
kitchen closes at 1:30 p.m. . . .
DeLuca hours are Monday
through Saturday, 11 a.m. to
2 a.m., and Sunday, 4 p.m. to
2 a.m.
About the pizza, people
come from everywhere (the
opening of 1-696 makes
DeLuca a very accessible
jaunt) because of its full-
bodied tastiness and excellent
crust.
Service, cleanliness, quality
and reasonable prices are
priorities at DeLuca . . .
which has come a long way
from that 1958 beginning on
Twelfth and Glendale.
Dennis and Gina each have
32 years of restaurant know-
how to offer their customers
. . . and it shows.
WHEN HE AND his wife
are going to have another
child, you know Jim and Alia
Sage have opened another
restaurant.
It's happened three times
before . . . and now three
daughters later with another
on the way, they have
Signature Cafe in the
Signature Building, 11 Mile
east of Inkster.
Recent grand opening with
balloons and ribbons outside
was for friends and family in
the only one of four buildings
not connected to another.
Also in almost all of their
places there is a fish tank .. .
and each time they get bigger
with rarer and more exotic
fish.
Signature Cafe seats 174 at
booths and tables with
breakfast and lunch served
cafeteria style and dinner sit-
down . . . Six-day hours are
Monday through Saturday
7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Sudden, unexpected snow
kept many away, but it was
still a crowded grand opening
. . . The restaurant has been
open since Feb. 1 . . . This
made it official . . . with hors
d'oeuvres, dinner, drawing for
Caribbean cruise by Jim and
Alia's togetherness operation,
Signature Travel, which is an
adjunct of their restaurant,
music and entertainment by
a one-man band, and games.
TRUFFLES has been
reopened by Terry Ciotti, one
of the original owners, on
Haggerty corner of Pontiac
Trail . . . It has Chef Jeff
Baldwin, formerly of Van
Dyke Place and the Whitney
. . . He and manager Jo Ann
Militello worked together at
the Whitney.
NEW RESTAURANT,
Tres Vite, opening this month
by Jimmy Schmidt and Mike
