Century B'nai B'rith
Scholarship.
To apply, submit a grade
transcript (no certification
necessary) together with a
typewritten memorandum in
letter form demonstrating
details of compliance with
each of the following
requirements:
The applicant must be: A
Jewish student from the
Metropolitan Detroit area
who is now attending a col-
lege or university with at
least one full year of credits
towards a degree (sophomore
or above); who has superior
scholarship; who demon-
strates a need for such finan-
cial assistance; who shows
leadership qualities for the
future benefit of the Detroit
Jewish community; whose
campus activities show
established roots in
Metropolitan Detroit.
Applications are due April

Discovery Room

The Jewish Community
Center of Metropolitan
Detroit will introduce "The
Discovery Room: A Jewish
Experience" at Maple-Drake.
The Discovery Room is a
hands-on-mini-museum
where children (ages 3-6) and
their parents can learn about
Jewish history, customs,
values, holidays, folklore,
tradition, heroes, music,
dance, drama, Shabbat,
Israel, the Hebrew language
and more.
The displays transform
visitors into participants, of-
fering parents and children
an opportunity to discover
their Jewish heritage.
Displays will be changed
regularly so that families can
return frequently.
