The purpose of this annual scholarship awarded by the Harry 5 - t and
Sarah Laker Israel Youth Scholarship Fund is to enable a local young
Jewish male or female to study for a full academic year at one of five
universities in Israel. The cash award is for $2500.

If you are awarded the scholarship

Bar Ilan University, one of the institutions the winner of the scholarship may attend

To qualify the applicant must be a resident of the Metropolitan Detroit Area, must
be currently attending a college or university in the continental United States, and
must have applied to a school of higher learning in Israel.

Universities which the winner of the scholarship may attend are The Hebrew
University, Ben Gurion University, Tel Aviv University, Bar Ilan University and Haifa
University.
