`Jerusalem Post' Jars Readers • The newly reconstructed — and newly conservative — Jerusalem Post has alienated at least two readers who were formerly fond of it. In a letter to the editor published in the March 24 international edition of the Post, author Yigal Dayan, daughter of the late Israeli general, Moshe Dayan, sar- donically thanks the editors "for your editorial of Feb. 19, in which you compare Peace Now to Jane Fonda on the one hand and to the `transferists' on the other hand." The editorial, states Dayan, "demonstrates clearly what the new Jerusa- lem Post is all about, and makes sure no one will take you seriously any more." In the same issue, an eight-paragraph letter from Abba Eban, a former Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, claimed the Post had recently distorted David Ben-Gurion's policies toward the Gaza Strip. Eban was "sad to see... Ben-Gurion misrepresented in a paper which used to show care and deference to- ward his legacy."
