Harold J. Ash, Wallpaper Owner Harold J. Ash, 81, of Southfield, died March 28. Mr. Ash was the co-founder and president of Ash Wallpaper Co. He retired and sold the business in 1979. He was a member of Temple Israel, Pisgah Lodge B'nai B'rith, Perfection Mosaic Lodge F&AM and organized an Uncle-Nephew Club that met monthly. Alex Klein, Helped Disabled Alex Klein, 75, of Sterling Heights, died March 28. Klein, who was developmentally disabled, fought for Michigan's mental- ly handicapped. He received the Hugh Graham Inspira- tional Award from the Oakland County Association for Retarded Citizens and served on the citizen's ad- visory committee of the Macomb-Oakland Regional Center. Mr. Leibowitz was the owner of Mill Floor Coverings in Oak Park. He was a member of Adat Shalom Synagogue and president of Detroit Floor Covering Associates. He was Man of the Year 1989 for Floor Cover- ing Associates and received their first lifetime achieve- ment award. He leaves his wife, Ruth; a daughter and son-in-law, Leila and Dr. Michael Eidelman of Farmington Hills; a son and daughter-in- law, Martin and Esther of Huntington Woods; brother and sister-in-law Carl and Helen of Southfield; sister and brother-in-law Jean and Theodor Schmidt of South- field; and two grandchildren. Jane Finkelstein, Active At Emanu-El Jane Finkelstein, 56, of Far- mington Hills, died April 3. Mrs. Finkelstein was a sales representative in gift- ware. She was a member of Temple Emanu-El and served as religious vice president of the sisterhood and chaired many committees at the temple.
