Dance Festival
In Southfield

The City of Southfield and
the International Institute of
Metropolitan Detroit will
sponsor the International
Folk Dance 4 p.m. April 1 at
the Southfield Civic Center
Pavilion.
The event features 11
ethnic dance groups and food
stations in an international
setting. Headlining the event
is "Sarisan," a group of 20
musicians, singers and
dancers in its premier perfor-
mance. The group hails from
Presov, Czechoslovakia, and
is the parent group of the
metro-area Sarisan Slovak
Folk Ensemble. Also on the
program will be the Hora
Aviv Israeli Folk Dance
Group.

Slate Auditions

Auditions are scheduled for
11 roles in the production of
Rosencrantz and
Guildenstern are Dead.
The auditions will be 7 p.m.
April 2 in 130 Varner Hall,
Oakland University, and 7
p.m. April 3 at Smith Theatre,
Oakland Community College,
Orchard Ridge campus.
Men and women are need-
ed as leads and extras. The
comedy by Tom Stopard will
be performed May 11-13 and
18-20 at OU and May 24-25 at
OCC.
