Move by American Bulk
Food from one locale to
another closer in at the West
Bloomfield Plaza entrance
was a good one . . . Not only is
the store more compact now
without walking around a lot
of empty spaces, but it allows
for better hours also . . . open
seven days . . . Monday thru
Thursday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.,
Friday and Saturday 8 a.m. to
11 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to
10 p.m.
Another factor . . . and a big
one too . . . is the parking
situation now . . . so much bet-
ter than before.
The Slimmery Ice Cream
section has been expanded
and takes up one entire wall
. . . There are also four tables
with chairs by one of the large
windows . . . and room for out-
side seating when the weather
permits.
Marty's Slimmery Ice
Cream news is big . . . Im-
agine . . . completely fat free,
no sugar, no cholesterol and
just 7Y2 calories per ounce or
60 calories in the regular
eight-ounce servings at
American Bulk Food in West
Bloomfield Plaza . . .
Unbelievable, but true.
IF THE AMATEUR guys
and gals are as good on stage
as in the outside world and
chosen professions, the Nancy
Gurwin Productions Once
Upon A Mattress at the Jewish
Community Center will be
another big hit for her.
Steve Hartz, Jewish News
writer, plays the prince who
falls in love with Princess
Winnefred (Nancy Gurwin)
. . . Attorney Ronald Strote is
King Sextimus . . . Housewife
Phyllis Meyers appears as
Queen Aggravain . . . and den-
tal doc Larry Miller does his
part as court jester.
Donna Zatkin, the show's
producer, is fiscal manager for
a local rehabilitation group.
Once Upon A Mattress opens
April 21, 8 p.m., and runs
April 22, 7 p.m.; April 26, 7:00
p.m. April 28, 9 p.m.; and
April 29, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
BEERS FROM ALL
OVER the world . . . ales,
lagers and pilsners . . . plus
cheeses, etc. . . . will be at Ex-
calibur, Franklin & Nor-
thwestern at 12 Mile . . . April
16 . . . Last year's crowd who
attended the joint offering by
Excalibur and Merchant of
Vino are sure to return among
the many more . . . Cost is
$25.
Capacity at Excalibur with
dancing is 160, not 100 as
recently errata'd . . . and

Romance is chic once more.
Classic cocktails.
Luxurious cuisine.
Sensuous swirling rhythms.
Memories are made of this.
