WMU Hosts
Remembrance

The commemoration of the
Holocaust will be held April
3 and 4 at Western Michigan
University.
Dr. Nechama Tec, professor
of sociology at the University
of Connecticut, will deliver a
lecture at 8 p.m. April 3 in the
Stetson Chapel of Kalamazoo
College. Her topic is "When
Light Pierced the Darkness."
A Polish Jew who lived
through the Nazi occupation,
Tec has been conducting
research about compassion,
altruism and Jewish rescue
during World War II.
The annual Interfaith Ser-
vice will be held 8 p.m. April
4 at the St. Thomas More Stu-
dent Parish. The service will
include music, readings and
reflections of the Holocaust.

Michigan, in conjunction
with Hillel at Western
Michigan University in
Kalamazoo will hold a deli
dinner at 5:30 p.m. April 1 in
Sangrin Hall.
Rabbi Abraham Jacobovitz
will lead a discussion entitl-
ed "Israel and the Jewish Peo-
ple: An Everlasting Bond."
