Dr. H. David Itkin,
Downriver Doctor

Dr. H. David Itkin, 62, of
West Bloomfield, died March
21.
Dr. Itkin was a doctor of in-
ternal medicine in the down-
river area until he retired in
December. He graduated from
the University of Liege
Medical School in Belgium in
1954, received his bachelors
degree from the University of
Bristol in England in 1946,
and graduated from Haifa
Israel High School in 1945.
Dr. Itkin was a U.S. Air Force
captain during the Korean
War and on staff at Oakwood,
Oakwood Downriver and
Outer Drive hospitals.
He leaves his wife Sylvia;
son and daughter-in-law
James and Carla of Los
Angeles; daughters, Audrey
of Southfield and Chantel of
Los Angeles; and son Arnold
of Boston.

Calif.; daughters and son-in-
law, Barbara and Leslie
Hubert of Southfield, Evelyn
Diskin and Jacqueline
Wilnowski; sister and
brother-in-law Sylvia and
Abraham Shenker of North
Miami Beach, Fla.; and eight
grandchildren.

GRETE WEINMAN, 97, of

Detroit, died March 21. Sur-
vived by sons and daughters-
in-law Ernest and Phyliss of
Los Angeles and Hans and
Sylvia of West Bloomfield.

Harold Morrison,
Civil Engineer

Harold Morrison, 82, of Ft.
Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of
Detroit, died March 24.
Mr. Morrison was a civil
engineer in the construction
business and an officer of
Darin Armstrong, Inc., where
he retired as vice president in
1972. Mr. Morrison was a past
officer and director of
Associated General Contrac-
tors of Michigan, a former
member of Tam O'Shanter
Country Club, Adat Shalom
Synagogue and its cemetery
board.
He was an original member
of the Probus Club of Detroit
and past officer and member
of Mosaic Lodge 530, B'nai
B'rith, and the local chapter
of Brandeis University.
He leaves his wife, Estelle;
son Arthur of Birmingham;
daughter Sharon Serling of
Waterford; two grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
Services and interment
Detroit.

Jonas B. Segal,
Cass, WSU Teacher

Jonas B. Segal, 76, of Oak
Park, died March 26.
Mr. Segal started and
taught the science and arts
program at Cass Technical
High School in Detroit. He
also taught Greek and Latin
at Wayne State University.
He graduated from Central
High School in 1930 and from
Wayne University in 1935.
He also received a master's
degree in history at Wayne
State.
He is survived by his wife,
Carole; son and daughter-in-
law Meyer and Sunny Segal
of Oak Park; three grand-
children and five great-grand-
children.
