I ENTERTAINMENT

THIS IS
COMPLIMENTARY
DINNER MONTH!
CELEBRATE AT
THE ATRIUM CAFE.

This month may not have a holiday—but
now you can celebrate anyway. We've declared
a Complimentary Dinner Month, just to get
a chance to meet you.
For a limited time, enjoy two delicious
entrees, but pay for just one.
And what entrees they are! juicy
roast prime rib. New York sirloin. Grilled
Atlantic swordfish. Dig into the double-
thick lamb chops or savor our weekly
Chef's special menu.
You'll love the Chocolate Marquis
for dessert—but you'll want to come back to
sample the Strawberries Rebecca. Celebrate
at the Atrium Cafe.

of the restaurant-nitery item
. . . that of Laura Gaston,
three years at Excalibur .. .
Tuesday and Thursday even-
ings behind the bar which she
works alone very cordially and
efficiently.
MACK PITT was invited to
be the lead alto sax playing
songs he played years ago on
recordings with the big bands
. . . It was for the new album
in California by Harry Con-
nick, Jr., Grammy Award win-
ner of When Harry Met Sally
fame.
The new record has many
songs from the '40s and '50s
plus some original new
ballads composed by Harry.
Invitation came up sudden-
ly (the way things many times
happen in the music business)
. . . and record session with
44-piece band plus strings con-
flicted with a commitment
Mack had to play mandolin
for three concerts by the
Detroit Symphony Orchestra
. . . He was torn, but D.S.O.
contractor, 011ie Green,
alleviated everything with his
understanding . . . 011ie felt so
strongly about Mack being on
the record session that he
released him from his
obligation.
WHAT WERE ALL the
clowns, acrobatic performers
and showfolks doing at Rialto
Cafe, Woodward just south of
9 Mile in Ferndale, recently?
. . . Just happened to
remember that the Shrine
Circus is in town at State
Fairgrounds and Rialto is a
favorite stomping grounds for
the circus stars.
Boy, did I miss that fresh
turkey cut from the bird while
in Florida! . . . Couldn't find
anything but frozen chicken
breast and roll . . . Easy to
guess first restaurant I went
to on return back here .. .
Rialto for the fresh turkey .. .
Lot of competition there now
with tables having the $4
broiled white fish complete
meal.
DURING HIS recent ap-
pearance at the Fox Theatre,
comedian Jerry Lewis and
wife Sandra were given a
silver Kiddush cup by Oak
Parker Avraham Zimberg .. .
Inscription was Jerry's
and Sandra's Hebrew names,
Joseph and Sarah.

GOOD WAITRESS DEPT.
. . . Dawn Gamble . . . days at

Jacques Demers Restaurant
in Embassy Suites on Beck
Rd. off Franklin . . . bright
smile, pleasing personality
and efficient ways.
