Silverman Enrolls
For Summer

Silverman Village at Camp
Maas near Ortonville, is ac-
cepting applications for
campers age 6-12 with mild to
moderate behavior problems.
Many of these campers are in
special education classes in
school.
Silverman Village accepts
35 boys and girls to each of its
two sessions. The staff is
drawn from students in
special education or related
fields.
Activities are geared to a
camper's ability to be suc-
cessful. These include
horseback riding, swimming,
boating, arts and crafts,
nature appreciation, sports,
and camping trips.
A learning center will offer
computers, educational
videos, cooking activities, and
newspaper writing to en-
courage the use of language,
reading, math and problem
solving skills.
The first session, intended
for boys and girls age 10-12,
takes place June 21 - July 15
(25 days). The second session,
for boys and girls 6-10 will
take place July 19 - August 5

Picture yourself as a Soviet Jew. Unable to practice your
religion. Deprived of your heritage. Exposed to many
abuses. You apply for permission to emigrate. You lose your
job. Years pass while you wait. Life is difficult. BUT NOW
. . . You are being allowed to leave Russia. You look to your
brothers and sisters for support. Funds are urgently needed.
