periences in a play and not
feel threatened."

Eastern Michigan University,
EMU sophomore Debra
Gantz said to the group, "I
was impressed with the way
you all seem to bond together.
It is very workable. It is very
touching."
Rosalyn Barclay, director of
counseling services at EMU,
added: "You communicate a
very powerful message. We
still have some things to

ed. After the skit, the discus-
sion focused on welcoming
strangers with hospitality
and kindness.

with a different format to
deliver its message and in-
volve audience members. The
new format involves the ex-
perimental troupe acting out
a scene and seeking the au-
dience to create endings to
resolve the conflict. Scenes
address marrying a non-Jew,
sibling rivalry, Jewish
lawyers, cheapskate Jews,
keeping Kosher, going to
synagogue and feminism. Its
troupe director, Christopher
Larkmoore, was a U-M stu-
dent. The director of the more
conventional troupe is Lisa
Dixon, a U-M employee.
On March 19, Talk to Us
performed a series of skits at
U-M for Hillel's 11th Annual
Conference on the Holocaust.
The performances focused on
contemporary scenes about
how Jews deal with the facts
and history of the Holocaust.
Monologues were based on
transcripts of Holocaust
survivors.
In a performance at the
University of Pennsylvania
Hillel, the troupe used one
scene to address the problem
