to Israel, and his Canadian
counterpart, Bernard Wood,
CEO of the Canadian In-
stitute for Peace and Securi-
ty, will be the keynote
speakers 7:30 p.m. April 20
for the program "Global Im-
perative for Peace and Securi-
ty."
Stephen Lewis, former
Canadian ambassador to the
United Nations will speak on
"After the Cold War: Global
Change, Global Peace." Lewis
recently returned from Chile
and Nambia as the U.N.'s
special consultant on Africa.
He began his career as a labor
relations arbitrator and has
been recognized for a 1983
radio and TV series on the
Holocaust.
Sponsors include the
Midwest Council of the Na-
tional Peace -Institute Foun-
dation, the Consul General of
Canada in Detroit, Wayne
State University, the Univer-
sity of Windsor and the
Stanley Foundation.
