Motown singer Smokey
Robinson will head a cast of
local and national enter-
tainers at WKBD's black tie,
Silver Annniversary celebra-
tion at the Fox Theater
March 26.
Included in the celebrity
lineup are Hollywood's Robin
Leach, host of "Lifestyles of
the Rich and Famous," and
Ellen DeGeneres, star of Fox
Broadcasting's newest com-
edy show "Open House."
Former TV-50 personalities
Bill Kennedy, Tom Ryan and
Jackie Gordon will also enter-
tain guests at the anniver-
sary party.
In addition, several finalists
who were selected from recent
local talent auditions will
compete on stage for the
grand-prize — a trip to Holly-
wood and a chance to audition
for the nationally televised
program "Star Search."

The Julius Chajes Music
Fund Concert Series will pre-
sent the third concert of its
50th anniversary season at
3:30 p.m. March 25 in the
Maple-Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center.
Sheila Fiekowsky, Boston
Symphony violinist, soloist
and chamber musician will
appear in a recital of music by
mozart, Prokofiev, Stravinsky,
Chajes and Wieniawski.
Fiekowsky began studying
the violin at age nine and ap-
peared as soloist with the
Detroit Symphony at age six-
teen. That same year she won
the National Federation of
Music Clubs Biennial Award
and performed as soloist with
the Center Symphony Or-
chestra under the direction of
the late Julius Chajes.
