Torah Scroll
Given To HMC
The Jewish War Veterans,
Department of Michigan, will
present a Torah to the
Holocaust Memorial Center
7:30 p.m. March 26 at the
Memorial Home.
The 200-year-old Torah, hid-
den from the Nazis when they
invaded Poland in 1939, was
recently discovered by Harry
Rapaport and was dedicated
to the Jewish War Veterans at
Brotherhood Night in
February.
Silverman-Detroit
To Meet Sunday
Silverman-Detroit Post 135
will meet March 25 at the
JWV Memorial Home. Break-
fast is at 9 a.m. followed by a
meeting and election of
officers.
