On that day, six local professional
photographers-turned-volunteers
focused their cameras on some
of the services provided by Allied
Jewish Campaign-supported
agencies and beneficiaries.

Through the lens, they captured:

• Pre-schoolers at the Jewish
Community Center

• 3 sheltered workshop clients
at the Jewish Vocational Service

• Young new Americans at
Yeshiva Beth Yehuda

• A grandmother at the Jewish
Home for Aged

• College students at
University of Michigan Hillel

• A trio of basketball buffs
at the Jewish Community
Center

• A new mother and her baby
at Sinai Hospital

The Jewish Welfare Federation,
its agencies and beneficiaries
are a vital part of our commu-
nity's daily life — the local piece
of the partnership that reaches
around the world, to Israel and
beyond.

And now, relive Thursday,
February 15, 1990 with some
of the Detroiters whose lives
were touched by our services
that day.

The day care crowd at the Jewish

Community Center.
