MITCHELL ROSEN-
THAL, Ph.D., has been nam-
ed as assistant administrator
of academic affairs, project
director, Southeastern
Michigan Traumatic Brain
Injury System (SEMTBIS)
and director of psychology for
the Rehabilitation Institute.

Few of us realize the quiet desperation and feelings of
isolation people with hearing loss suffer daily. They live in a
world that seems to go on without them, leaving them lonely
and, at times, embarrassed.
Fortunately, hearing loss is becoming more and more
treatable every day. On March 27, the Michigan Ear Institute
will present a lecture by its leading otologists called, "New
developments for those with hearing loss."
T. Manford McGee, M.D., Malcolm D. Graham, M.D.,
Jack Kartush, M.D., and Michael LaRouere, M.D. will discuss
different tests now available to determine the extent and
nature of hearing loss, and exciting new treatments and
procedures such as cochlear implants and semi-implantable
hearing aids that are giving people with hearing loss renewed
hope. A question and answer period will follow.

Join us Tuesday, March 27, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Fisher
Auditorium at Providence Hospital for this free and
enlightening lecture.
