"Masterpiece.
One of the best Yiddish films ever made."

-The Boston Herald

THE

Monroe in the heart of
Greektown, but the food is far
from being like anything
served along the lighted
legendary avenue.
Fishbone's Rhythm Kitchen
Cafe has the fare and flair of
New Orleans . . . designed for
casual dining on Gulf Coast
dishes normally not found
north of the Mason-Dixon
line.
But
besides
catfish
beignets, alligator voodoo, po-
boy sandwiches, crawfish,
etc., there's seafood like
shrimp, scallops, trout, snap-
per, frog legs, etc. . . . all cook-
ed by a staff trained in the
traditions of the region where
the food is found.
A large neon sign hangs at
the Monroe, corner of Brush,
intersection, marking the
restaurant's entrance.
Once inside, guests are
literally bombarded with the
sights and smells of Gulf
Coast cuisine . . . Festive,
brightly patterned tile covers
beams and portions of the
floor . . . An open kitchen
allows folks to watch as food
is prepared . . . An oyster bar
is filled with ocean delicacies.
To give the restaurant an
authentic Gulf Coast at-
mosphere, most of the interior
decor, including the shutters,
lighting, windows and
crustacean-motif carpeting,
was imported from New
Orleans.
It is open Monday through
Thursday 11 a.m. to 12 mid-
night, Friday and Saturday
11 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday
11 a.m. to 12 midnight.
The menu is very inter-
esting and contains many
foods you certainly wouldn't
expect to find in this neck of
the woods.
It's so novel in fact that
many customers have return-
ed a number of times to try
what they don't expect to en-
joy anywhere else . . . unless
they go to New Orleans.
Fishbone's Rhythm Kitchen
Cafe is no slouch when it
comes to fun dining . . . The
varied bayou country delights
are rare treats to be savored
with zestful enjoyment.
IT'S BACKTO being call-
ed Duffy's Waterfront Inn .. .
after a short term as Miramar
. . . with six-year owners Can-
dy and Jim Gotts bringing
back Bob Posch, who spent
much time delivering his
comedy and music at Duffy's
. . . He's there every Friday
and Saturday night with two
shows, 9 p.m. and 11 p.m.
