Lunch And Learn

Aish HaTorah/Aleynu will
run a weekly lunch and learn
12:30 p.m. at the Jewish
Welfare Federation every
Wednesday.
This year's goal is to com-
plete the six chapters of
Ethics of the Fathers. The
class is taught by Rabbi Alon

Registration has begun for
classes offered by Congrega-
tion B'nai Moshe and the
Midrasha-College of Jewish
Studies.
"The Holocaust in Film and
Television: Images of Despair,
Images of Resistance, and Im-
ages of Hope" will be taught
by Prof. Mashey Bernstein of
the University of Michigan.
Bernstein will examine the
ways the Holocaust has been
presented by Hollywood from
the mid 1930's to the present.
The course will meet March
13, 20, 27 and April 3 from
7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

"Back to the Sources: A
Survey of Biblical and Rab-
binic Texts" will be taught by
Rabbi Bruce Aft, Midrasha
Director. Rabbi Aft will ex-
plore the Bible, Talmud and
Midrash and examine in-
terpersonal relationships,
ethics, family and belief in
God.
This course will meet
March 13, 20, 27 and April 3
from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Both courses will meet at
the Jewish Community
Center, Maple/Drake
building. There is a charge.

Midrasha Presents
Lunch And Learn

The Midrasha-College of

14, April 4, May 9 and June

served at noon and the lec-
ture will begin at 12:30 p.m.

Hebrew Schools building.

Temple Beth El and the
Midrasha-College of Jewish
Studies are co-sponsoring a
course entitled, "Back to the
Basics: What Can a Jew
Believe."
Rabbi Joseph Gutmann,
Art History professor at
Wayne State University will
teach the class. The course
will be a basic introduction to
Judaism. It will meet on
March 18, April 1 and April
8 from 11:20 a.m. to 12:15
p.m., at Temple Beth El.

Pesach Discussion
Set For March 15

Rabbi Elimelech Silberberg
of Bais Chabad Torah Center
will speak at a March 15
lunch and learn.
Rabbi Silberberg's topic is
entitled, "A Practical Guide
to Pesach." The program is
sponsored by B'nai B'rith
Council of Metropolitan
Detroit, Michigan Board of
Rabbis, Jewish Community
Council and the Midrasha-
College of Jewish Studies. A
