'Hamlet' Opens
At Attic

Gordon Reinhart will direct
William Shakespeare's
Hamlet opening March 16.
The show runs through April
8.
Reinhart, a Wayne State
University graduate and ar-
tistic director of the
Snowmass/Aspen Theatre
Festival in Colorado, made his
way to the Attic from the
Hilberry Theatre, where he
played Smike in Nicholas
Nickleby three years ago.
The cast includes Cheryl
Williams as Ophelia; Tom
Mahard as Polonius; New
York actor Eric Kramer as
Laertes; Richard Klautsch as
Claudius; and Laurie Logan
as Gertrude. Also in the cast
are Aaron Davidman, Robert
Grossman, Harold Hogan,
Greg Olszewski, David
Parker, David Ramsey,
George Valenta and Harry
Wetzel.

Works of two local Jewish
composers will receive first
performances at the next con-
cert of the Detroit Tuesday
Musicale, 10:30 p.m. March
13, at the Detroit Institute of
Arts. Featured will be an ex-
cerpt from "The Witch, the
Wise Man and the Fool" by
Elaine F. Lebenbom and
"Horn Quartet" by Geraldine
Schwartz.
There is a nominal charge
for non-members.

Sings At Temple

The Bel Canto Choral
Society in conjunction with
rIbmple Beth El's All Women's
Chorale, will provide the
musical portion of the
sisterhood's Sabbath service
8 p.m. March 23 at Temple
Beth El.
The program, highlighting
Jewish women in music, will
be directed by Cantor Gail
Hirschenfang and Denise
Ogden, choir director of Bel
Canto. Rochelle Barr will ac-
company the choirs. Services
will be conducted by Rabbi
Daniel Polish and Rabbi
Julian Cook.
There is no charge.

Jewish Festival
In Chicago

the fourth U.S. city to host
the International Jewish
Festival when the kosher
food and Jewish life show
opens at the Hyatt Regency
Chicago Nov. 30 through
Dec. 2.
