American Judaism:
Past, Present and Future

Sunday, March 18, 1990, 7:30 p.m.
Congregation Shaarey Zedek
27375 Bell Road, Southfield

Judaism teaches us that the range of Jewish education
is to be extended so as to include the whole of life. While the education of youth has been
the first goal of Jewish learning, it is imperative that its final goal be the education of the
adult. The full blessing of Jewish living cannot be experienced by philanthropy alone, by
communal service, or even by belonging to a synagogue. The quality of joy, the celebration
of the mind can only be achieved through study and understanding.
We are honored by the presence of Dr. Katz, and we look forward to the wisdom he
will share with us. Congregation Shaarey Zedek is delighted to participate in co-sponsoring
this significant event for the whole Detroit community.
