Peri's work with Ethiopian
children over the past 10
years has been one of the
great achievements of his
educational career and is the
focus of many articles and
most of the lectures he has
been giving throughout the
U.S.
Peri addressed a group of
Jewish communal workers on
behalf of the 1990 Allied
Jewish Campaign, which
helps support Youth Aliyah,
as well as a luncheon group of
black educators.

raiser at her home.

The Detroit Weizmann
League, the young adult
group of the Detroit Commit-
tee for the Weizmann In-
stitute of Science, will hold a
party at the Whirlyball
Arena in Mt. Clemens, 5 p.m.
March 25.
A drawing will be held for
the winners of the league's in-
itial project, a "Raffle for
Research?' Proceeds will start
a scholarship to benefit a
young scientist at the Weiz-
mann Institute of Science.
