musical Cats will play the
Masonic Temple Theatre
March 14-25.
Set in an oversize
junkyard, Cats begins as a
tribe of felines who gather
under the full moon to pre-
pare for the annual Jellicle
Ball. Throughout the evening,
the cats introduce themselves
as they spin tales and relive
faded memories, until finally
they choose one that will as-
cend to the "Heaviside
Layer?'

Avon Players
Open Show

The Avon Players of
Rochester Hills will present
To Gillian (On Her 37th Bir-
thday) through March 17.
The show is a drama by
Michael Brady about a
middle-aged college professor
who attempts to deal with the
death of his wife which occur-
red on her birthday two years
earlier.
Also, auditions for its final
production of the 1989-90
season, the musical On A
Clear Day (You Can See
Forever), are scheduled for 1
p.m. March 11 and 7 p.m.
March 12. Those auditioning
will be asked to read, sing
and dance. For information,

Magician Comes
To The House

Bernie Stevens comes back
to The Community House in
Birmingham to share his bag
of tricks with kids, ages 6-12,
9:30 a.m. March 10.
Stevens will show kids how
to make objects appear and
disappear, how to put life in-

to defy the laws of gravity.
