Leemis is a Hillel Day School board member and parent of two Hillel students. She is the past president of National Council of Jewish Women and a member of the Terran Leemis boards of Adat Shalom Synagogue, Women's Division of the Jewish Welfare Federa- tion and Jewish Family Service.
