BOTSFORD ANNIVERSARY

Botsford General
Hospital in Farmington
Hills recently celebrated
its 25th anniversary
with an afternoon
reception. More than 150
people attended and
enjoyed the cake, which
was a replica of the
main building. Some of
the people who honored
the occasion included
Botsford General
Hospital President
Gerson I. Cooper and
his wife Carol Zieger
Cooper, daughter of
founder Allen Zieger;
Dr. Harris Mainster,
chairman of the
department of surgery,
and Dr. David Susser,
chairman of the
department of internal
medicine.

MUSIC MAN

The Bloomfield Players
recently presented a
production of The Music
Man. Some of the
musically talented
individuals in the cast
included: Larry Miller,

GROCERY TOUR

The Hanoar Chapter of
Friends of Israel Cancer
Association recently
went on a grocery tour
led by nutritionist Gail
Posner. The chapter
learned how to read
labels in order to eat
healthy foods. They also
learned about the
importance of using
canola oil and tasted the
fat-free pastries from
Entenmann's. Some of
the healthy eaters
included: Faye
Rosemberg, Liz
LaKritz, Pat Baer,
Diane Zameck, Trudy
Weiss, Donna Belen,
Shari Eisen and
Roberta Ingber.

NCJW VOICE

A group of young women
recently formed a new
committee with the
National Council of
Jewish Women. Lori
Lipten, Kim Lifton,
Rachel Hauser, Mindy
Eisenberg, Shelley
Milin, Susan Grant and
Terry Schwartz
mustered forces and
formed Hakol, which
they call the new voice
of today's woman. As a
NCJW division, the
women hope to initiate
programs to tackle many
social issues. Among
them are abortion rights,
helping senior citizens,
battered women and
children and equal pay
for equal work. For their
first meeting, the women
are hosting Richard
Marker, who will speak
on Pro-Choice: Getting
Involved at 11 a.m. on
Feb. 18 at the Franklin'
River Clubhouse. O
