Weinstock-Bartick
Dr. Shelley B. Weinstock
and Paul V. Bartick announce
their engagement. Dr.
Weinstock is the daughter of
Sharon Weinstock of South
Orange, N.J., and Jack
Weinstock of Manhattan.
Both are formerly of Detroit.
Mr. Bartick is the son of Alyn
Bartick of Irvine, Calif., and
Gary Bartick of Santa Bar-
bara, Calif.
Dr. Weinstock graduated
from Bard College and earn-
ed a doctorate in nutritional
biochemistry from the
Massachusetts Institute of
Technology. She is currently
an assistant chemistry pro-
fessor at Columbia Universi-
ty where she conducts ar-
tificial blood research.
Mr. Bartick graduated from
the University of California,
Berkeley and received his
master's degree in
developmental psychology
from Columbia University.
He is a staff consultant at the
Children's Television
Workshop and an author of
children's books.
The couple is planning a
March wedding.

Tanzer-Gold
Mrs. Selma Newman of
California announces the
engagement of her daughter,
Arlene Tanzer, to Martin
Allen Gold, the son of Sol and
Dina Gold of Farmington
Hills.
Martin attended Wayne
State University and
graduated from the Detroit
College of Law. He is an at-
torney in Los Angeles. Arlene
is a special education teacher.
An August wedding is
planned.
