Space — Room to Grow's
moving-on-group will host its
meal of the month at Machus-
Adams Square Cafeteria,
1 p.m. Feb. 11.
On Feb. 25 at 2:30 p.m., the
group will attend the Attic
Theatre production A Shayna
Maidel.
There is a charge for each
event and pre-registration is
required.
The moving-on group offers
activities for all ages of men
and women who are
separated, divorced or
widowed.
Space will sponsor a
workshop, "The Paradox of In-
timacy,” 7:15 p.m. Feb. 13 at
the Space office.
The workshop, presented by
Judy Schneider, will explore
the myths of intimacy and
ways to become intimate with
others.
Schneider has been a Space
facilitator trainer for five
years and also provides train-
ing at Oakland University's
Continuum Center.
Two special drop-in discus-
sion groups will be held at
7:15 p.m. Feb. 14 and 28 at
the Space office.
On Feb. 14, the topic will be
"I'm Special Because . . ." On
Feb. 28, it will be "Creating
Healthy Relationships."
Special topic drop-ins alter-
nate with open-topic
Wednesdays. Pre registration
is not required for these.
A one-time support group
for widowers only will be
7:15 p.m. Feb. 14. Reserva-
tions are required.
A workshop entitled
"Single Parenting With
Dignity" will be offered Feb.
20 at 7:15 p.m.
Presentor Barbara Lewis
will help participants learn
about parenting style while
exploring ways to improve
parenting effectiveness.
Lewis is a psychologist in
private practice in Birm-
ingham and has been a Space
facilitator.
