Finally, he mentions that all three
of his daughters and their spouses
have signed prenuptial agreements.
Rabbi Lookstein performs between
eight and 15 marriages each year, and
in the eight years that he has been ad-
vising the use of prenuptial agree-
ments, only two couples have refused.
"It's gaining increasing acceptance':
said the rabbi, but "it's unfortunate
that it has not been adopted univer-
sally.
"Rabbis are a little bit afraid to bring
it up because it's touchy. It's unrealistic
not to talk about it, and it's irrespon-
sible," Rabbi Lookstein says.
