together to show the solidari-
ty of the Detroit Jewish
community.
Rabbi David Saperstein, the
co-director of the Religious
Action Center in Washington,
D.C., will be the speaker.
Tickets may be obtained at
individual synagogues.
Dietary laws will be observed.

Aish HaTorah
Sets Seminar

Aish HaTorah/Aleynu an-
nounces the Discovery
Seminar, which has become
an international program, is
coming to Detroit April 1.
The seminar aims to
answer the question "Why be
Jewish?" The presentations
deal with topics such as "The
Jewish way in Love, Sex, and
Marriage" — a discussion of
Judaism's insights into rela-
tionships, and "Hidden Codes
of the Torah" — researched by
computer scientists and
mathematicians, an analysis
of hidden codes in the Torah.
The seminar is a full day
program.
The Aish Halbrah/Aleynu
Chaburah, or home study
group, which met in
Southfield is moving to the
home of Stuart and Michelle
Newman, 14751 Talbot, Oak
Park. The class will run on
Sundays at 8:30 p.m., starting
Jan. 21. The instructor will
be Rabbi Yosef Lange.
