Due to an incredible response, this sale will be continued through January 31. approved by township trustees, the foundation could not build its educa- tional campus without get- ting a zoning change, something Rabbi Yitschak Kagan, associate director of the Lubavitch Foundation, does not think will happen because of the township's strict standards. While Rabbi Kagan is upset about this newest or- dinance, the foundation has not given up its plans to build the educational cam- pus complete with parks, a Judaica library, a Jewish art museum, a rabbinical col- lege, a Soviet Jewish center, a day care center and a center for the elderly. The foundation is com- pleting its search for an architect to draw the retreat plans, Rabbi Kagan said. He also has some financial commitments toward the campus buildings, he said. "They can't put a stop to anything we are doing. All our plans can proceed," Rabbi Kagan said. "We are very resolute. We are very confident we can win." Mort Plotnick, JCC exec- utive director, said the Center will build a half-mile bike path on Maple Road this spring. The path, which is ex- pected to cost the Center more than $30,000, will con- nect to already existing bike paths on Maple and Drake roads, Plotnick said. When the path is completed, it will be turned over to the township. Getting the bike path ap- proved by the township was a "standard formality," he said. It has been on the center's plans since the building was constructed in the mid- 1970s, he said, adding it was not to be built until the area was more developed. ❑ LeCOULTRE CORUM COIN GUBELIN CARTIER MOONPHASES CHRONOGRAPHS All interesting or unusual time pieces.
