The Senior Adult Depart-
ment of the Jewish Com-
munity Center's Jimmy Pren-
tis Morris Building will hold
an Erev Shabbat program
12:30 p.m. each Friday in
Jaffe Hall with Cantor Max
Shimansky.
Jan. 7 — The Center will
sponsor bingo, with prizes
and refreshments at 2 p.m., in
Jaffe Hall. There is a fee.
Jan. 8 — Linda Kayes offers
table games to improve math
skills, at 10 a.m., in the
Atrium. Monday afternoon
mah jongg is open to new and
experienced players at 12:30
p.m., in Room 15. "Fabs"
Kaldobsky will be guest lec-
turer for Israel — Then &
Now, at 1 p.m., in Room 12.
His topic is "Options in the
Israel-Palestinian Conflict."
Jan. 9 — Jewish humor is
the focus of Frances
Weinberg's presentation at 11
a.m., in Room. 4. National
Council of Jewish Women
representative, Barbara
Grant, will speak at 1 p.m., in
the Assembly Hall. Following
the lecture, the second part of
the movie classic I Wonder
Who's Kissing Her Now will
be shown.
Jan. 10 — "From Delancy to
the Met," a concert featuring
opera singer, Rena Panush,
will be at 1 p.m. in Jaffe Hall.

Choir will perform for the
Yiddish Culture Club at
12:30 p.m., in Jaffe Hall.
Thursday's Video feature,
Butch Cassidy and the Sun-
dance Kid, will be shown at
1:30 p.m. in the Atrium, with
a repeat performance Friday
morning, at 10 a.m. in the
Assembly Hall.

The Jewish Community

Rena Panush in recital entitl-
ed "From Delancy Street to
the Met" 1 p.m. Jan. 10, at
the Jimmy Prentis Morris
Building.
The program will feature
Yiddish theater songs and
operatic arias. Douglas Stan-
ton assistant conductor at the
New York City Opera, will ac-
company Ms. Panush.
Panush, a lyric coloratura
soprano, is a native Detroiter.
She majored in music at Cass
Technical High School and
received her B.A. from the
University of Michigan and
her Master of Fine Arts from
the University of Florida.

Last April, she made her
Carnegie Hall debut with the
Manhattan Philharmonic.
There is no charge, but
reservations are required.

Trained volunteers from the
American Association of
Retired Persons will be at the
Oak Park Senior Citizen
Center at 14300 Oak Park
Blvd. 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and
noon to 1:30 p.m. to help
senior citizens fill out their
Homestead, State and
Federal Tax forms on the
following dates:
Homestead Tax Only, Mon-
day, January 8, 15, 22, 19,
1990. Homestead, State and
Federal Taxes, Monday,
February 5, 12, 19, 26; March
5, 12, 19, 26; and April 2, 9.

Francis Weinberg at 1 p.m.

Weinberg will review Bless-
ings by Belva Plain.

Drawing, charcoal and oil

Jewish Community Center's

a.m. to noon on Mondays,
Wednesdays and Fridays. For
