Aleynu Offers
Hebrew Courses

Aish Halbrah/Aleynu has
set early March for the crash
course follow-up. The course,
open to Hebrew Crash Course
gradautes and others needing
to improve their Hebrew
skills, will focus on how and
what to pray. Basic reading
Hebrew reading skills are re-
quired for this class.
Upon completion of the
course, participants will know
how to follow in the prayer
book on Sabbath and
holidays, the order and struc-
ture of the prayer services
and the meanings behind
many of the prayers.
The class will be taught by
Dr. Ricahrd Schwarcz and will
take place at the Aish
HaTorah offices.
For those who want to learn
to read Hebrew from "Aleph
to Taft' Aish HaTorah/Aleynu
will hold Hebrew Crash
Courses at locations in the
northwest suburban area in

Midrasha Sets
Lunch And Learn

The Midrasha-College of
Jewish Studies is sponsoring
a Lunch and Learn Series for
the Winter/Spring 1990
semester.
Rabbi Bruce Aft, Midrasha
director Community Jewish
High School and principal,
will lecture on "Back to the
Sources: A Survey of Sacred
Jewish Texts." The first lec-
ture of the six-part series will
be held Jan. 10. A kosher
lunch will be served at noon
and the lecture will follow at
12:30 p.m. Subsequent lec-
tures will be held Feb. 14,
March 14, April 4, May 9 and
June 13.
The series will be at the
United Hebrew Schools
building. Students may also
register for individual
lectures.
