parents said religion had
helped him find sanity in a
confusing world. "Our world
is crazy," he said. "It's filled
with drugs and murder. Or-
thodoxy is normality in an
insane existence."
At the end of the program,
the hosts offered several
suggestions for families with

newly observant members.
These included an appeal to
. the religious child not to
admonish parents on their
religious observance, for
parents and children to
educate themselves about
the other's religious views
and to continue to par-
ticipate in Jewish activities
that would not compromise
either's religious perspec-

Sinai Hospital
Honors Greenberg

Sinai Hospital honored Roe
Greenberg as the 1989 reci-
pient of the Max Osnos Award
for Distinguished Leadrship
at its annual meeting.
The Max Osnos Award was
created by the hospital's
board of Trustees in 1986, and
is given annually to honor an
individual whose contribu-
tions have made significant
differences at Sinai Hospital.
Greenberg was the foun-
ding treasurer of the Sinai
Hospital Guild in 1952 and
served as Guild president
from 1960-62. She created the
Service With Love program, a
daily telephone outreach pro-
gram for the homebound,
elderly and handicapped. She
has been a member of the
hospital's board of trustees
