I NEWS I Dems Favor Israel Ties Milwaukee (JTA) — Responding to an anti-Israel resolution by the Waukesha County Democrats, the Wisconsin Democratic Party administrative committee has reaffirmed the party's support of the "special rela- tionship" between the United States and Israel. The committee also urged "all units of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin to take all the steps necessary to en- sure that all resolutions con- taining statements of fact be checked for accuracy." The anti-Israel resolution was created and approved by the Waukesha County Democrats in September and October. The statement charged that "the Israeli government has not acted in good faith in the peace effort," that non-Jewish Israelis are not "full-fledged citizens" and that Israel's government is "an alleged democracy."
