New York (JTA) — The
Museum of Jewish Heritage,
which opens in New York in
1992, and Yad Vashem in
Jerusalem have begun to
compile pages of testimony
which they hope will contain
the name, photograph and
biographical information of
each of the 6 million Jews
who perished in the
Holocaust.
The pages of testimony
will be included in a com-
puterized program the mu-
seum is developing, "These
Do We Remember."
Additional information
and forms for the pages of
testimony can be obtained
from Fay Schreibman, pro-

Los Angeles (JTA) — To
help Jewish immigrants
from the Soviet Union and
Iran integrate into the es-
tablished Jewish communi-
ty, the weekly Jewish Jour-
nal has begun publishing a
column in Russian and Far-
si.
The bi-weekly column
deals with events, services
and organizations of interest
to the newcomers and is
prepared by the Jewish Fed-
eration Council of Greater
Los Angeles.
A year's free subscription
was sent to 500 immigrant
families last week, reaching
about 1,500 readers.
It is estimated that there
are now between 25,000 to
40,000 Soviet Jews in the
Los Angeles area, and bet-
ween 25,000 to 30,000 Ira-
nian Jews. During the next
12 months, an additional
3,000 Soviet Jews and 700
Iranian Jews are expected to
arrive.
