were 84 chess masters on 28

countries or regions.
The Russians led with 36
points, followed by
Yugoslavia, with 33 points,
and West Germany, with
31.5 points.
The two Israeli teams fin-
ished ninth and 14th, with
29.5 and 27.5 points respec-
tively.
Other teams finished with
the following scores:
Finland, 31; Bulgaria and
Romania, 30.5 each;
Czechoslovakia, 30; Britain
and France, 29.5 each;
Hungary and Greece, 29
each; Sweden and Norway,
28 each; Switzerland,
Poland, Spain, Portugal and

Cabinet approved a 4.3
billion shekel ($2.15 billion)
supplementary budget for
the current fiscal year last
week but the appropriation
did not include added funds
for the absorption of the
large number of new im-
migrants expected in the
next few months.
The Treasury has told the
Cabinet that the money
needed to absorb Soviet Jews
in the next months would
come from a 150 million
shekel ($75 million) reduc-
tion in spending by the
civilian ministries which
would be used to enlarge the
budget reserve and then
finance immigrant absorp-
tion.
