Maddin To Chair
UJC Endowments

Michael W. Maddin has
been named chairman of the
Federated Endowment Fund
of United Jewish Charities.
Maddin is a member of the
UJC Grants and Distribu-
tions Committee and serves
on the. Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion's board of Governors. He
is past president of the Fresh
Air Society and is a member
of its endowment committee.
He also is the past president
of the former Junior Division
(now Young Adult Division) of
Federation.
Maddin has held numerous
leadership positions with the
Allied Jewish Campaign and
has been a member of the
board of directors of Hillel
Day School and is endowment
and budget committees.

Sets Workshop

Temple Israel will hld a
' Chanukah workshop 7:30
p.m. Dec. 14 at the temple.
Rabbis Harold Loss and
Paul Yedwab and Cantor
Obach will teach the story
and music of Chanukah.
Educators and members of
the temple's outreach com-
mittee will demonstrate the
preparation of latkes,
Chanukah blessings, games
and decorations. The program
is especially designed for
Jews-by-choice, interfaith
couples and Jews-by-birth
who want to learn more about
Judaism.
