Super Sunday
Set For Dec. 10
The Detroit Jewish com-
munity's largest fund-raising
appeal, the Allied Jewish
Campaign Super Sunday
phonathon, is scheduled for
Dec. 10. Volunteers will be
calling 10,000 Detroit-area
residents on behalf of the
1990 Campaign from LaMed
Auditorium at the United
Hebrew Schools in Southfield.
Nearly 400 volunteers will
work throughout the day,
conducting five phone
solicitation sessions from
9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

paign Super Sunday

(N.Y.) Jewish Center, Rabbi
Kurshan examines, in his
book, the ideal of
menschlichkeit — knowing
the responsible, fair and de-
cent thing to do in any situa-
tion. He says getting ahead is
not always enough. Rather,
Rabbi Kurshan suggests,
children must be offered
chances to become mentshen.
