open in the Southfield Com-
mons (former Farrell Shop-
ping Plaza) on Southfield
Road.

tified and when everything
cleared up, Bangkok Club
finally opened its doors of-
I ficially to the public on Aug.
22 of this year.
A huge, imposing sign out-
side, three feet high and
about 32 feet long in a
pinkish red, is a large stan-
dout at the site which former-
ly held Restaurant Duglass
and Mama Zelda's before it
Bangkok Club is an
authentic Thai restaurant .. .
and the emphasis on authen-
ticity is very important '.
seating 87 people on two
levels with the space so
customers are not crowded
while dining.
Beautiful
crystal
chandeliers, booths and
chairs, pink tablecloths, pink
napkins at lunch, red napkins
at dinner, both folded lotus
style on the upper level (36
seats) with floor seating on
cushions and wells for legs .. .
A bar on,the lower level has
