So you can imagine the thrill Max Sosin must have gotten when reading about smiling and laughter being discovered as good for the health. It's also no wonder the local raconteur is feeling so good these days . . . He too smiles a lot and chuckles with others after telling one of his goodie stories or little remarks. Max doesn't even have to tell a joke to get smiles . . . He brought much warmth, for in- stance, to the Jewish War Veterans of Russia who were guests at the High Holiday services of Congregation B'nai David . . . Speaking from the bimah in Russian, Max welcomed the Jewish soldiers who served in the Soviet army. He smiles with pride, too . . . like telling about his and wife Ruth's son Harvey tak- ing 4 1/2-year-old daughter Lindsey to school one morn- ing in Boca Raton, Fla. .. . While enroute, Harvey pointed to a building and told Lindsey that it was the tem- ple they would be going to for Rosh Hashanah . . . A few days later, the little lass was being driven to school by her mother, Elizabeth, and as they passed the edifice Harvey had shown her, she said, "Look, Mommy. That's the Shirley Temple we're go- ing to for Rosh Hashanah." PEARL & MACK ... sounds like a vaudeville team . . . Partners Audrey Pearl and Bill Mack really are a show team . . . As financial advisers they flaunt various ways for people to make money. Pearl Advisory recently held two-day open house with a double purpose . . . showing off their new offices in Far- mington Hills . . . and presen- ting three dynamic per- sonalities in the world of finance to speak to folks. Leave it to them to do something different . . . and this time it had nothing to do with money . . . Imagine splits of champagne with straws in each open bottle! The seminars were such big successes peple are already asking them when the next one is being held . . . Could be that speaking programs like this might become a regular ongoing thing for Audrey and Bill . . . each speaker short, sweet and directly to the point. "I DO" DEPT. ...
