GREENSPAN, 97, formerly
of Minneapolis, of Richard-
son, Texas, died Nov. 7. She
leaves her children, Shirley
and Morris Beider of Oak
Park, Lorraine and Ted Levin
of Richardson, Texas, and
Maurice and Rosalie Green-
span of Omaha, Neb.; nine
grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren.

DR. ISADORE HOWARD
GUTOW, 87, formerly of
Flint, died Nov. 6. He leaves
his wife, Ann June; sons and
daughters-in-law, Dr. Richard
0 and Susan of Nashville and
Dr. Gary and Kathryn, also of
Nashville; brothers and
sisters-in-law, Dr. Benjamin
and Ruth of Birmingham and
Dr. Julius and Edith of Flint;
and six grandchildren. Ser-
vices and interment in
Detroit.

BERNARD S. NESTOR, 71,
of Oak Park, died Nov. 3. He
leaves his wife, Hope; sons
and daughter-in-law John
and Ruth of Hoffman Estates,
Ill., Irwin and Brad of Oak
Park; and a daughter, Rebec-
ca Nestor Lenchner of Far-
mington Hills; a brother and
sister-in-law, Lawrence and
Lorena of Westland, a sister

child.

St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly
of Detroit, died Oct. 29. She
leaves her grandchildren,

Detroit.

Dearborn. She is survived by

Southfield, died Oct. 31. She
leaves a son and daughter-in-

mingham; two brothers, Ira
Friedman of Atlanta and
Robert Friedman of Califor-

HYMAN SIMON, 70, of
South Lyons, died Nov. 5. He
is survived by his wife,
Marilyn; a son, Philip of Fern-

Martin of Bronx, N.Y., Bess
and Rueben Ruskin of Pon-
tiac and Gloria and Hy Cohen

Southfield, died Nov. 1. She
leaves her husband, Lester;
sons and a daughter-in-law,
Robert Singer and Dr. Erika
Schneider of Birmingham

five sisters in France.

Southfield, died Nov. 4. He

NCJW Names
New Director

New York — Dr. Chaya S.
Piotrkowski has been named
to the post of director of the
National Council of Jewish
Women's Center for the Child.
Dr. Piotrkowski holds a doc-
torate from the University of
Michigan in psychology.
Before joining NCJW, she had
a private practice in
psychology and previously
was associate professor at the
department of psychology at
St. John's University.
