Artists' Works
At Robert Kidd

An exhibition of new pain-
tings by James Van Patten
and sculpture by David
Greenberg opens today at
Robert Kidd Gallery in Bir-
mingham. The show runs
through Nov. 29.
Patten is a New York real-
ist painter, capturing
pastoral landscapes,
meadows, lakes, marshes,
streams and forests during
the four seasons. Greenwood
creates large, sculptural
allegories, employing boat
forms as metaphors of man's
voyage thorugh life. His
works consists primarily of
wall sculptures, crafted of
wood, fabric and stain.
