TelAviv — Thurist recom-
mended hotels in Israel will
lower prices by 10 percent for
three-, two- and one-star
hotels, by 25 percent for five-
and four-star hotels, on their
official published price list
(The Israel Tourist Hotel
Book) starting this fall.
Maximum prices for hotel
rooms in each hotel category
will be fixed.
In addition, costs for hotel
services, food and beverages
all will be significantly reduc-
ed, and fees for use of pools by
hotel guests will be
eliminated. Hotels will be re-
quired to display their service
prices in Hebrew and in at
least one foreign language.
This price reduction agree-
ment was made between the
Ministry of Tourism and the
Israel Hotel Association, and
are designed to make Israel's
hotel prices more competitive
and attract more visitors.

Mulroney Meets
With Jews

Montreal (JTA) — Cana-
dian Prime Minister Brian
Mulroney told Jewish
leaders that he will in-
tervene in the matter of Nazi
war criminals living in
Canada.
Specifically, he said he
would look into speeding up
the process of testimony, ac-
cording to Alan Rose, exec-
utive vice president of the
Canadian Jewish Congress,
whose leaders met with
Mulroney last month.
Besides the matter of Nazi
war criminals, other issues
discussed were those of
Canada-Israel relations,
Soviet Jewry, Syrian Jewry,
race relations and anti-
Semitism.
The Jewish leaders told
Mulroney there was an
urgent need for speedy pro-
cessing of Soviet Jews des-
tined for Canada.
