a wedding gift, framed in plexiglass. Many of the room's accessories are rich with history and sentiment. Also on the wall is a framed hand embroidered silk art piece that was a wedding gift to her grandparents. Standing majestically on the left wall are a County French armoire and buf- fet. On the buffet her Grandmother's silver coffee urn sits along side the Vic- torian coffee and service and candelabras purchased on a trip to London. The seating area in front of the wide glass windows includes a bone wool chenille sectional from their previous house and a bone marble cocktail table designed by Zack. On the table is a stunning collection of Russian lac- quered boxes, a bronze dancer and a graceful Lalique crystal bowl. Next to the couch rests an antique 36 HOME oak candle stand that was converted into a lamp. Opposite the table is an antique mahogany ballroom pull up chair with carved hawks head arms. The woven tweed fabric used for the seat also was used to make throw pillows for the couch. Serving as a game table in front of the window is the dining room table from the owners' very first home. The Queen Anne chairs were covered in a stripped Donghia fabric. Off to the side is a striking bronze sculpture by Israeli artist Leon Brons- tein. An olive wood sculpture by Brons- tein sits on the marble table. The right wall of the great room holds a white formica storage and entertainment unit. Adjacent glass shelves flank the fireplace and display an imposing collection of carved ivories and Chinese porcelains. Fami- ly pictures in silver frames provide a personal touch. Above the fireplace hangs a delicate oil painting with three dimensional pieces by Debra Kashdan. Above the formica server is a vivid abstract oil by Helen Covensky in shades of yellow, red and blue. In front of the entertainment unit is a seating area with a bone couch custom made to match the one near the window. On each side of the couch sit matching swivel arm chairs covered in a beautiful Brunschwig and Fils chintz floral pattern in Oriental colors. A marble table and antique letter writing table complete the setting. A collection of glass candlesticks creates a handsome centerprece on the glass and chrome Brueton dining table with navy wool and chrome chairs.
