hen architect Kenneth
Newmann and his wife,
Beverly Neumann, an art-
ist, designed their own
home, the result was a dramatic
residence.
Not only is the home dramatic, but
the 1.5 acre property that drops 50 feet
from the driveway to the pond at the
rear is equally intriguing. The home is
located in the quaint suburb, Franklin,
which was settled in 1820. The site was
at one point the front lawn of George
Wellington Smith, a local landowner
