American early 20th century artists
are being rediscovered. From 1900
to 1940, there were many good art-

highly collected, then forgotten.
Today, people are starting to look at
them again and are rediscovering
top-notch work. These artists include
Thomas Hart Benton and a number
of artists whose names are not as well
known to the general public. These
works can vary a great deal in afford-
able ranges from $200 to $600, with
Benton's work going for between

"Drinking Goblets" by Jeanette Pasin
Sloan, a Chicago artist who makes
lithographs of objects against striped
backgrounds,

extremely hot. He shows strong
potential, and his editions are sold
out before they are printed. Lenore
Fini is another artist to watch.
Although Fini is considered to to be
one of the finest living artists in
Europe today, she is still relatively
unknown in this country. The
demand for Fini's work is expected
to increase in the next few years
when she passes on."
Erte continues to be popular. A col-
lector may pay $1,500 for an Erte,
compared to a Miro print for $3,500
or a Picasso for $6,500.
